Aleksandr Stommels is TAFFD’s Ambassador to Belgium.
Aleksandr Stommels began his career in the sport and financial industry, few years later he studied Supervisor & Commissioner at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, after that he studied CS50 part e-learning at Harvard University and Space Studies at ESA, NASA, Copernicus and SpaceUp Academy Bremen (coming year International Space University). Throughout his career he developed his network skills, entrepreneurial spirit and result-oriented mind.
Aleksandr Stommels was chosen as one of the 50 Junior Masterminds at the Mastermind Academy of Michael Pilarczyk. As a Masterminder he learned using his knowledge and influence in combination with persuasive power with not having a 9 to 5 mentality as a “Spider in the Web” expert. Being Creative, honest, friendly with sense of humor and open attitude he enjoys the challenge and continually strive for personal improvement with taking into account the objectives of the stakeholders. Thanks to that he is selected as a active member of the Entrepreneur & Small Business Forum of Forbes, Strategic Intelligence Community of the World Economic Forum and Editor team of Pulse of Europe.

Aleksandr Stommels is Co-founder & President of Circle of Sustainable Europe in Brussels Belgium, Circle of Sustainable Europe is a youth-led initiative connecting and creating environmental sustainability projects across Europe. As an umbrella organization its aim is to expand knowledge, awareness and solutions of today’s biggest climate change challenges. It does so by supporting cooperation between regional, national and international initiatives aiming to address the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the United Nations, and by providing these initiatives with a voice at European level.
CO-FOUNDER & OCEAN LEADER | EU SCHOOLS LOVE OUR OCEAN & SUSTAINABLE OCEAN ALLIANCE BENELUX HUB
Aleksandr Stommels Co-founded a sustainable mindset project called EU Schools Love Our Ocean (ESLOO) that was being accepted to present at OurOcean2017 Conference in Malta, 100 Years event of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and Matchmaking Sustainable Living Labs of The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Even the DG Maritime Affairs Fisheries of European Commission and Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO show interest. ESLOO is to improve awareness among young students and education institutions to forewarn about the importance of our oceans today. Through a Benelux Hub with Sustainable Ocean Alliance we share together our mission to save our oceans, hereby implementing sustainable solutions by using problem solving actions.
NATIONAL COORDINATOR | WORLD SPACE WEEK 4-10 OCTOBER | BELGIUM
Aleksandr Stommels is the National Coordinator for the World Space Week in Belgium. The goal as an the National Coordinator is to build a network of multiple stakeholders, providing guidance, information and sharing contacts with local and national media. He endeavours and advocates for Sustainable Space Technology and Exploration in a purpose to let it be a source of inspiration, dedication and education for children and youngsters.
The World Space Week from October 4-10 is an annual event, it’s the largest space event on Earth. The United Nations General Assembly declares the World Space Week to celebrate each year contributing to space science and technology for the betterment of the human condition”.

Aleksandr Stommels is Co-founder & Treasurer of EJVO in the Netherlands, EJVO is a Dutch Foundation that connects local, national and global the young generations with the older generations. Several organisations and univercities are already appreciating his involvement with Nijmegen European Green Capital 2018, as well as the possibilities provided through the network he wield. During this he have been organizationally responsible about TEDxYouth@Nijmegen and EU Green Week in the most European Entrepreneurial Region 2019 (Province of Gelderland). Also he helped as Co-organiser with the Dan Peña Q&A Evaluation event, EU Green Week Award Ceremony & Erasmus+ Projects in Nijmegen. Also he participated as a speaker/moderator at the Climate Reality Summit in Berlin, Economic Forum Of Young Leaders in Poland, Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Education Summit in Köln, Expo France Summit in Paris and Horasis Global Meeting in Portugal. Coming October he will go for the second time to the EURegionsWeek as partner to represent EJVO in a session about current & future leaders.
As the TAFFD’s Ambassador for Belgium, Aleksandr hopes to raise awareness and expand the International Think Tank among youth & elderly. ‘’Those WHO Never Change Their Minds Never Change Anything’’.
