Newton Lee is the author/editor of The Transhumanism Handbook (Switzerland: Springer Nature, 2019). He was the founder of Disney Online Technology Forum, creator of AT&T Bell Labs’ first-ever commercial artificial intelligence tool, and inventor of the world’s first annotated multimedia OPAC for the U.S. National Agricultural Library. He is chairman of the California Transhumanist Party, education and media advisor to the United States Transhumanist Party, and president of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships.

His 19 works are in 141 publications in 3 languages and 4,682 library holdings worldwide. His Total Information Awareness trilogy books have garnered rave reviews from Eleanor Clift of Newsweek and The Daily Beast, ACM Computing Reviews, AdWeek SocialTimes, Choice Magazine, and Carmen LaBerge of Faith Radio, among others. He has executive produced dance-pop songs that have charted on U.S. Billboard, U.K. Music Week, and U.S. iTunes HOT 100 (Electronic). His latest albums are “Google It (Soundtrack)” and “I Am Not I”​ for which DJ Robert Scott called “a marvelous pop/dance affair of the highest order!”​

He has been honored with a Michigan Leading Edge Technologies Award, two community development awards from the California Junior Chamber of Commerce, and four volunteer project leadership awards from The Walt Disney Company.
