Victor V. Motti is Director of the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF), the foremost independent body for futures studies scholarship. Based in the Middle East, he is conversant in English, Arabic, Persian, and Italian. He is the Founder and Editor of Vahid Think Tank.
Victor is an international writer, speaker, and foresight consultant. His article Sources of Futures Studies from Foresight to Anticipation appears in the Handbook of Anticipation (2017). He also authored and published a book in the UK, titled: A Transformation Journey to Creative and Alternative Planetary Futures.
He coauthored The Future of Business: Critical Insights into a Rapidly Changing World from 60 Future Thinkers in 2015 with his insight on the matter and is a contributor to World Futures Review, a Journal of Strategic Foresight.
In July 2016 and May 2017, he joined a select international panel of futurists from developed and developing countries at the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) in Morocco, North Africa, to explore key transitions at global and regional levels for the 2030, 2050, and 2060 horizons. In 2016, he lectured in Europe at the University of Trento in Italy on futures studies in the Middle East and North Africa, based on a paper he had written for the World Future Review.
Victor was appointed to a vacancy on the Executive Board at WFSF in March 2012 and elected to the Board in 2013 for a four-year term. He is now Director of the WFSF.
He was the recipient of the World Futures Studies Federation President’s Outstanding Young Futurist Award in 2013.
Victor was an invited scholar to speak at International Conferences: in April 2011 in Italy, Reconciling Babel: Education for Cosmopolitanism, and in November of 2010 in Taiwan on Global Transitions and Asia 2060: Climate, Political-Economy, and Identity.
